Excellent, novel approach to meditation *****
Michael has a fantastic knack for getting to the heart of the matter. It’s great to have a no-nonsense approach to self-awareness, mindfulness, and meditation that isn’t full of lovey-dovey hippy BS. Too frequently, these podcasts are about ‘feeling good,’ rather than awakening to the truth of the human situation. I appreciate how Michael approaches this. I want to see more of them…
Brilliant! *****
A humorous and smart journey to the bottom of the awareness ocean. This podcast both makes me chuckle and nod in agreement. It’s exciting, engaging, and great.
A fantastic present *****
Listening in on Michael Taft’s chats with other long-time meditation teachers is really a privilege. In some ways, Buddhism is all about teaching—how do you persuade people to do things that will lead them to new experiences? Or will they gain from concepts they are unaware of? Michael Taft delves into the mechanics and bolts of learning, teaching, and thinking with so much more.
***** Fascinating and thought-provoking
The first three episodes raised a lot of concerns that called into question my ideas regarding practice and awakening. They’ve helped me think about what I’m actually seeking for and how I’m going about finding it. Strongly recommended!
Thank you so much, Michael Taft! *****
Very useful. This has been quite beneficial to me!
***** Totally worth it
There are so many meditation discussions out there that never really go into the nitty-gritty of what it’s like to meditate. This gets there in a big way, leaving behind all of the woowoo bullshit that normally comes with mindfulness. It’s a highly fascinating, educational, and thought-provoking podcast that will undoubtedly improve your own practice.
Food for both the mind and the soul*****
The ideal combination of brain and soul nourishment. Nirvana and neurology are discussed.
Mind broadening! *****
This is fantastic! Please, more!
Exhilarating, mind-altering, and entertaining *****
This podcast had me learning, developing, arguing, chuckling, and generally enjoying myself. Subscribe if you’re prepared to confront long-held preconceptions and deconstruct yourself. You will not be sorry.
A long-awaited viewpoint on waking! *****
I just finished the first three audio episodes, and I must say that this is a long-awaited and refreshing viewpoint on the activities that lead to emancipation and awakening. Kenneth Folk’s three-part interview on Buddhist meditation was educational, amusing, and bluntly honest about meditation methods, unreasonable expectations, and the unglamorous and quite commonplace effects of practice. As a result…
