ORCHESTRAL PERCUSSION X3aim M’s is to not only present several forms of orchestral percussion recorded in a dry, yet energetic space, but also to allow for the production of more unique instrument combinations, as well as some new additions in terms of sounds and effects.

Our major goal was to record several orchestral percussion sets suited for all types of dynamic music, particularly cinematic music. The library offers a variety of dynamic levels (from extremely soft ppp to blasting ffff) and round-robins (each instrument has unique samples attached to it that vary every time you press a key). For maximum versatility, we have incorporated new and previously unsampled sounds such as Orthodox Church Bells, as well as several instrument sizes for the Bass Drum and two Timpanis. Here’s how the library’s interface looks:

The Percussion Engine X3M

Our engine’s premise is straightforward: it consists of 12 zones to which you assign different patches. After you’ve settled on a template, simply plug it in and play – nothing else is required or expected.

When you launch Orchestral Percussion X3M, it loads all samples from your workstation’s “samples” folder. However, the instruments are designed in such a manner that you not only have a single patch with all of the percussion you would require, but you also get a patch that is optimized and friendly to the capacity of your RAM.
