What You’ll Discover in These 7 Weeks
During the 7-week program, Master Mingtong Gu will guide you through the fundamental Wisdom Healing Qigong practices needed to successfully connect with your body as energy and harness its potential. You’ll engage with sound healing to awaken the physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of your organs, helping to release stress and renew vitality. In addition to foundational teachings, you’ll learn how to shape a gentle, personal practice that can transform the effects of aging, illness and worry.
This course focuses on the five organ systems and the brain, applying the Wisdom Healing Qigong sounds, movement, meditations and visualizations for mind-body-heart health.
Each weekly, LIVE training session will build harmoniously upon the next, building an understanding of the role of sound healing for the five organs. They will include teachings, movement and sound and meditation practices. The program is appropriate for all ages and abilities and does not require special clothing or exercise equipment. If you are unable to attend live, you’ll receive audio recordings, transcripts and supplemental videos so you can still receive the full benefits of the program.
Practice Component: The deep benefits of Qigong come from doing the sounds, movements and meditations yourself, so you can feel and experience the transformative effects. Each weekly session will help you create a practice of your own. First, Master Gu will lead an in-class practice during each class and will invite you to follow along with him. Then after class you can download special practice tools, that include video, audio and/or illustrations, so you can practice along with these tools anytime, when it fits your schedule.
Every module of the course adds new, powerful teachings and practice tools, so that over the 7 week course you will integrate a deep Wisdom Healing Sound practice for all the organ systems into your daily life.
Module 1) The Qigong Perspective: Understanding Your Body as an Energy System (April 19)
What is the Qigong meaning of wholeness of body, mind and heart? In this introduction to the Wisdom Healing Qigong teachings, Master Gu will guide you in experiential exercises to cultivate your awareness of the interconnectedness of all aspects of your being with the energy all around you.
You’ll start to see how stress and the challenges of life affect your health and wellbeing and your organ systems in particular.
In this first module, you’ll learn:
- About the ancient energy system of Wisdom Healing Qigong.
- Elements of starting a daily Qigong practice at home: movement, meditation, sound and visualization.
- 3 Secrets of Wisdom Healing Qigong.
- Steps for starting a 50-day ‘Gong’ and tips for a dedicated practice that brings results.
Module 2) Opening Your Heart to Happiness (April 26)
In the second session, Master Gu will share teachings and a live practice of the key Qigong heart sounds that can open your heart to lasting happiness. You’ll learn how stress and judgement contract the heart, and about effects of “the story” of an illness, emotional loss or sadness on the cardiovascular system.
In this module, you’ll:
- Learn the movements of Lachi that allow you feel and direct Qi within the body.
- Practice the sounds for opening your heart.
- Explore the Golden Key Teaching of Inner Smile for Meditation.
- Experience more joy and a stronger sense of connection with life.
- Continue your home practice.

Module 3) Changing Fear into Creativity: Kidney & Reproductive System (May 3)
In modern times, the catalysts of fear are just a click away on your smartphone or computer. This fear doesn’t just stay in the mind, it moves into the kidneys, prostate, ovaries and adrenal glands. The Qi becomes frozen.
Master Gu will guide you to rebalance your kidney and reproductive system so that the Qi flows again. A Qigong-balanced kidney transforms fear into creativity and contributes to overall wholeness — in health, work, family and the world.
You’ll learn the sounds of the kidney to cultivate the inner wisdom needed to take charge of your fears and move ahead in your life.
In this module, you will:
- Learn energy movements of hip rotation.
- Discover the sounds for the kidney.
- Release old stories of fear and awaken new levels of creativity.
- Receive a strong remedy for fear-causing situations.
- Apply the teachings of the “3 A’s” to activate change.
Module 4) Moving from Worry
to Confidence: Digestive System (May 10)
In Module 4, we will focus on the wholeness of the digestive system, to restore confidence, while also improving digestion. The pressures of a fast-paced, project-driven work and home life — with an excess amount of information to process — magnifies the worry to get it all done. Worry stagnates and blocks the digestive system.
In this module, you will:
- Review the movements of Hip Rotation and Spinal Bone Marrow.
- Feel the supportive energy between your organs.
- Learn an antidote to worry that you can apply in all areas of your life.
- Celebrate 21-day Gong.
- Bring appreciation into the digestion of our food, life and energy.
Module 5) Generating Courage,
Purifying Anger: Liver System (May 17)
In Module 5, we will cultivate the voice of inner wisdom, so that you can clear the mind, release extreme anger and discover the courage to take decisive action for change. At every age, we are faced with challenges in relationships with our work, friends, colleagues and our world, and also with our health. A purified and harmonized liver has both the courage and righteousness to guide us to take right action. We will learn how to purify and transform anger right when it is emerging — before it clouds our liver, spleen, lymphatic and immune system.
In this module, you will:
- Review the movements of Spinal Bone Marrow.
- Learn the sounds for the Purification System.
- Find ways to transform old and recurring issues of anger.
- Discover the healthy side of anger.
- Gain the tools to purify and transform anger when it starts to emerge.
Module 6) Moving Sorrow into Compassion: Respiratory System (May 24)
Module 6 provides teachings and practice focused on restoring balance to the lungs, thyroid gland, skin and hair. With loss of loved ones or our own health and vitality, and by bearing witness to the sad events in the world, we can be overcome by grief, sorrow and lingering depression.
The Wisdom Healing Qigong practices for the lungs can help release the congestion and are also beneficial for lung conditions like asthma or colds. These practices support taking “a full breath of life.”
In this module, you’ll:
- Learn the movements of Chen Chi.
- Understand how to practice more deeply using the 3 Golden Keys (Trust, Practice and Experience).
- Deep wisdom about Wisdom Healing Qigong for taking a full breath of life.
Module 7) Integration of Whole-Brain, Body, Heart for the Benefit of Self &
the World (May 31)
Module 7 integrates the whole self in harmony and balance, to heal ourselves and to heal our world. Through six weeks of dedicated Qigong practice, the students will be experiencing a greater wholeness of body, mind and heart. Now, we’ll focus the sounds on renewing the mind’s clarity, as intention has a powerful ability to transform and direct Qi so it flows within the body to each organ system — and into the world for the benefit of others. We will explore the disconnection that occurs during illnesses (such as Parkinson’s), and how to rebuild the communication pathways.
In this module, you will:
- Understand the Qigong perspective of your five organ systems.
- Learn the value of continuity, repetition and dedication in your practice.
- Activate the Wisdom Brain with Shenji sounds.
- Experience whole-brain integration.
- Celebrate completion of 50-day Gong.
