DescriptionYou may have trauma clients who are unknowingly victims of narcissistic abuse.
Victims of narcissistic abuse might be conditioned in a psychiatric context to behave a specific way, to display only the good aspects. They may disassociate in order to escape the trauma, and they may find it difficult to discuss the abuse in treatment. Some may be unaware of the abuse, especially if the narcissist is still present.
Most physicians have just a cursory awareness of personality disorders and the terrible impact they may impose on their spouses. Without the correct training, you may overlook a critical component of treatment for these people by failing to connect the connections.
This training will provide you with the in-depth knowledge and therapeutic tools you need to spot the indications of abuse from Cluster B disordered relationships and learn how to treat survivors!
Sandra Brown, M.A., is a narcissistic and psychopathic abuse pioneer and the current president of The Association for NPD/Psychopathy Survivor Treatment, Research, and Education. She has worked with and researched narcissistic abuse survivors for over 30 years.
Watch her, along with professionals Claudia Paradise, LCSW-R and Bill Brennan, M.Ed., LMHC, CAP, as they demonstrate how you can:

Distinguish PLRs from other types of stereotyped domestic violent, addicted, co-dependent, or dysfunctional relationships.
