Matt Shoemaker, DO, practices at Medical Specialists of Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and is the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of SoutheastHealth, located in Cape Girardeau. He is the Director of Student Medical Education at Southeastern Missouri Area Health Education Center, as well as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at ATSU-Department KCOM’s of Internal Medicine. Dr. Shoemaker is originally from Piedmont, Missouri, and received bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Biology at Mizzou. In the year 2000, he received his doctor of osteopathy degree from Kansas City University – College of Osteopathic Medicine (previously UHS-COM). Dr. Shoemaker did his residency and fellowship in infectious diseases at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Shoemaker declares that he is on the Sanofi Pasteur vaccine speaker’s bureau.
