In 1985, Judge Fowler graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law. She began her legal career with Legal Aid of Western Missouri’s Municipal Court Defense Unit for two years, then worked as an associate for several general practice law firms until 1990, when she established her own solo practice. She practiced Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, and Social Security Disability until 2000, when she was assigned to the Division of Workers’ Compensation as an Administrative Law Judge.

Iezzi, Jason

Jason joined Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish as an associate in June 2013 after clerking for the firm during law school and was promoted to partner in 2020. He was born and reared in the St. Louis suburbs, graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2009 with a B.A. in History, and then relocated to Kansas City to pursue law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2012.

Jason has first-chaired workers’ compensation hearings and supported colleagues Brianne Thomas, Mark Parrish, and Jerry Kenter in various parts of civil litigation as a partner at the firm. He has also prepared appellate briefs and argued before the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

Jason is a member of the Missouri Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, and the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group. He is also a Kansas licensed attorney.

Employers Mutual Insurance Company of Missouri

Since 2018, Rick Montgomery has served as the Managing Attorney of CompLegal, an in-house law practice for Missouri Employers Mutual (MEM). He oversees a team of litigation attorneys and legal offce coordinators spread across numerous office locations in this job. His staff is in charge of handling and litigating workers’ compensation claims for MEM and its policyholders.

Montgomery formerly held the position of managing partner of Montgomery & Wulff, Attorneys at Law, L.L.C. Prior to that, he was a partner at Atwill & Montgomery, Attorneys at Law, L.L.C. in Columbia, Missouri, from 2000 until 2017. In 1993, he was admitted to the Missouri Bar, and in 2012, he was admitted to the Illinois Bar. His major focus has been on workers’ compensation defense for employers and insurers throughout Missouri and Illinois, as well as general trial and appellate practice. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate.

Montgomery is a member of the American Bar Association, AM Best’s Recommended Insurance Attorneys, and the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry, among others. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Missouri-based humanitarian organization Kid’s Chance, Inc. Among his accomplishments is an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is only given to lawyers who have the highest ethical standards and professional skill.
