Childcare Training Ohio is a Health Organization that has been authorized by ODJFS:
Infectious Disease Ohio Administrative Code regulations 5101:2-12-10 and 5101:2-13-10 mandate training for child care program workers working in licensed child care programs.
Trainers who offer infectious disease training for child care providers must fulfill the requirements outlined in OAC regulations 5101:2-12-10 Appendix A and 5101:2-13-10 Appendix A. Trainers must be a qualified physician, registered nurse, or a communicable disease trainer from an approved health institution that specializes in Communicable Disease training.
Only the Common Childhood Illnesses for Child Care Centers (Approved Training Curriculum developed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Ohio Department of Health) and communicable disease training classes offered by an approved health organization are approved communicable disease curriculums.
