Jonathan Rose started his career on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 1998. Jonathan was a crucial role in supplying liquidity to the new Globex market as a pioneer of computer-based trading. He was lured to join a technology-focused Fixed Income trading business after 5 years of trading Nasdaq Futures.
Jonathan was one of four Senior Partners of a Chicago-based proprietary trading firm from 2003 to 2010. He was the firm’s sixth employee and rose to the position of Director of Futures Trading, where he was in charge of all proprietary trading activities. Jonathan developed and personally oversaw a big group of traders (15+) and was in charge of the trading floor’s success (60+ traders). Jonathan has coached over 30 traders in all facets of Fixed Income trading.
Jonathan worked as an Equity Options Market Maker on the CBOE from 2010 until 2013. He created and maintained his own portfolio, actively trading over 100 equities at the same time.
Jonathan joined a private Family Office (Hedge Fund) in the Chicago suburbs in 2014. Jonathan collaborated with the firm’s investment team to develop and implement a pair trading investment strategy centered on Closed End Funds. He also promotes and supports other corporate objectives with an emphasis on business development. Jonathan received his B.S. from the University of Miami in 1997. He is a 2015 CFA Level 2 Candidate.
Jonathan finished the Madison Ironman in 2011, as well as four marathons in the previous four years. He spends his spare time with his lovely wife, two sons, and his guitar.
