For individuals without much exposure to the areas, pediatrics and oncology can each be intimidating topics; put them together, and pediatric oncology can be frightening. During this presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the cornerstones of pediatric oncology pharmacy, gaining exposure to common outpatient treatments and supportive cares used in this population. Attendees will walk away with practical pearls to be employed in their own pharmacies when encountering pediatric oncology patients.

Alexis Kuhn, PharmD, BCOP, is a pediatric hematology/oncology ambulatory pharmacist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She received her PharmD from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, after which she completed her PGY1 Residency at Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital and her PGY2 Oncology Residency at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester. Over the years she has she fostered a passion for pediatric hematology/oncology, and has shared that passion through precepting learners and giving presentations on the topic.
