Dementia is one of the world’s fastest rising women’s concerns. Over 13 million women in the United States have Alzheimer’s disease or are caring for someone who does. Women outnumber males with dementia two to one worldwide.
It’s a tricky conundrum, and new study indicates that sex influences risk, diagnosis, and presentation.
Dr. Sherrie All is a registered clinical neuro-rehabilitation psychologist and brain health specialist whose dementia care trainings have assisted professionals around the country in better understanding the condition and providing the best possible treatment.
Dr. All will update you on the most recent research on dementia in women, as well as provide you with techniques and treatments you may take to avoid and lessen problematic behaviors and increase your ability to interact with cognitively impaired patients.
As a rehab professional who works with dementia patients, this is one training you cannot afford to miss!
