This workshop will illustrate a compassionate, artistic, and respectful approach to short therapy that employs tales to encourage transformation.

Since the 1970s, Bessel A. van der Kolk, M.D., has worked as a therapist, researcher, and educator in the field of posttraumatic stress disorder and associated phenomena. His research incorporates developmental, biochemical, psychological, and interpersonal elements of trauma’s impact and therapy. His book Psychological Trauma was the first integrated treatise on the subject, illustrating the broad impact of trauma on the complete person as well as the variety of therapeutic concerns that must be addressed for recovery.
