We spent over two years documenting the emotive performances of the wonderful musicians we worked with at Ocean Way Studios, a world-class scoring environment, with Nashville’s top string players.
We were able to capture the minute subtleties and expressiveness seen in genuine live recordings using performance-based sampling techniques, all while keeping the feeling of depth observed in the room. During the sessions, every note was evaluated in real time to ensure timbrel consistency.
To enhance fluidity and connectedness, all of the brief articulations were derived from repetition-based performances. To transfer a degree of expressiveness matching that of a real piece of music, legato transitions were sampled from musical passages. Every part of this collection was meticulously designed, and the results are unequaled.
Nashville Scoring Strings focuses on the key string articulations and covers the primary playing techniques connected with current cinema score. In these significant performance categories, we stressed quality above quantity with the purpose of setting a new benchmark in core string libraries. We caught the sound used in numerous well-known movies, TV shows, and video games using score mixer Nick Spezia (Call of Duty, Fortnite, Outlander). We worked hard to push the boundaries of what is currently feasible with sample library creation. We are thrilled to introduce Nashville Scoring Strings!
Sampling Based on Performance
