DescriptionDescription:
This presentation is a quick therapeutic technique for negative, self-defeating ideas, with the goal of helping participants discover more of their own strengths. This presentation, which is based in part on Erickson’s way of dealing with negative ideas, is highly polite and offers both indirect and direct methods. Because many of these beliefs have a secret that maintains them in place, and “the secret” may be none of our business, this technique incorporates this to make it more successful.
Objectives of Education:
To explain two respectful approaches to dealing with self-defeating ideas.
To discuss two approaches to dealing with the secret that tends to reinforce self-defeating thoughts.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
