This hands-on seminar will examine how the rewarding experience of helping others may have a positive effect on the therapist’s own well-being and professional success.

JEFFREY KOTTLER, PhD, has written eighty volumes, several of which are considered classics in their fields. His publications are utilized in colleges all over the world to train counselors and therapists. On Being a Therapist, The Client Who Changed Me, Divine Madness, Transforming Others by Transforming Yourself, and, most recently, The Assassin and the Therapist: An Exploration of Truth in Psychotherapy and in Life and Creative Breakthroughs in Therapy: Tales of Transformation and Astonishment are just a few of his acclaimed works. Dr. Kottler has taught as a Visiting Professor in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Nepal, and as a Fulbright Scholar and Senior Lecturer in Peru, Thailand, and Iceland. Right now, Jeffrey is a full-fledged professor in the Counseling Department at California State University, Fullerton. In addition, he is a co-founder of Empower Nepali Girls (www.EmpowerNepaliGirls.org), an organization that awards college scholarships to girls from Nepal’s lowest castes.
