This engaging talk will address the rationale for and practical application of humor in cognitive therapy via tales and clinical illustrations. Both cognitive therapy and comedy have the ability to affect change in the core parts of human experience—cognitions, emotions, behaviors, and physiology. The presenter will discuss how humor can be a strong tool for both diagnosis and therapy, as well as how to distinguish between empathetic and antagonistic comedy styles. Along with Steven Sultanoff.
