This approach of using hypnosis in supervision can be an effective way to satisfy the requirements for getting the results that supervisors, supervisees, and clients desire. This procedure may be a highly successful method for generating coherence, enhancing accountability, and forming a clear map for directing supervision.

Dale E. Bertram is a Marriage and Family Therapy Professor at the Department of Marriage and Family Studies. Dale’s approach to teaching and clinical supervision is to encourage students to broaden their ability to apply theory in the real world. He also appreciates assisting pupils in increasing their comfort level while dealing with complex and demanding issues. Dale’s principal research focus is on the rhetorical features of family therapy discourse, and he has produced numerous journal articles in this field. Every year, he looks forward to collaborating with a group of students on the “rhetoric of family therapy” study project. Dale also does research on online education, online counseling, and online supervision. He’s written for Family Process, Contemporary Family Therapy, Family Therapy Magazine, and other publications. In addition, he is nearing the end of writing a book about Ericksonian clinical supervision. Dale routinely gives presentations at state, national, and worldwide conferences, as well as online workshops and seminars.

Mike Rankin is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Mike graduated with honors from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. St. Meinrad Seminary awarded him a Masters of Divinity degree. Mike also attended the University of Louisville’s Post Masters Program in Marriage and Family Therapy. Mike has been in practice for more than two decades. He was previously the Executive Director of the Kentucky Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
