DescriptionDescription:
Short-term treatments of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), developed by Albert Ellis, PhD, a recognized and bright pioneer in the field, are the most successful for alleviating, resolving, and avoiding emotional disorders. Debbie Joffe Ellis, the wife of Albert Ellis, presents the key characteristics, methodologies, and tactics of this robust, bold, and compassionate approach in this Short Course that features a live clinical presentation.
Purposes in Education:
Recognize the qualities of this comprehensive approach that set Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) apart from other cognitive treatments, and describe the primary features that make REBT useful as a short therapy for treating depression, anxiety, and other emotional problems.
Provide an example of how you would utilize each of the following three REBT strategies with a client who was experiencing emotional difficulties like anxiety or depression.
Take the “ABC” technique taught in REBT and use it in your own clinical work and with yourself.Note that *sessions may be altered for content and to ensure confidentiality*
