A presentation and a 12-minute DVD show how to help clients make good decisions that meet their requirements, particularly power or inner control. The combination of reality therapy with Ericksonian concepts assists clients in discovering and selecting alternatives to the symptoms of previous trauma, as well as the sensation of helplessness caused by anxiety and despair.
Objectives of Education:
Describe how two Ericksonian concepts interact with the WDEP reality treatment system.
Describe three reality therapy strategies that enable clients to replace at least one expression of sorrow with a sense of optimism.
