Albert Ellis, PhD, was an American psychologist who created Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy in 1955. (REBT). He earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Columbia University and was a member of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). He also created and served as President of the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City for many years.
He is widely regarded as one of the inventors of cognitive-behavioral treatments and one of the originators of the cognitive revolutionary paradigm shift in psychotherapy.

According to a professional survey of US and Canadian psychologists conducted in 1982, he was recognized as the second most important psychotherapist in history (Carl Rogers was ranked first and Sigmund Freud was placed third).

James F. Masterson (M.D., Jefferson Medical School, 1951) was the founder and director of the Masterson Group, P.C., a practice that specializes in the treatment of adolescent and adult personality disorders. He was also the Director of the Masterson Institute (previously the Character Disorder Foundation), as well as an attending psychiatrist at New York Hospital’s Payne Whitney Clinic and an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Cornell University Medical College. Masterson has written seven books and edited two volumes, all of which are on psychoanalytic methods to character deviants and adolescents. His major work on borderline personalities established him as one of the most prominent and researched practitioners of modern psychoanalytic approaches.

Moreno’s death, Zerka has taught psychodrama all over the world for almost 30 years and is widely regarded as a pioneer in furthering his vision. Zerka T.
