EMDR targets the biologically stored memory networks at the root of both psychological issues and mental wellness. This approach to case conceptualization and treatment will be investigated in a variety of therapeutic settings, including attachment difficulties, body image, chronic pain, drug misuse, sexual dysfunction, personality disorders, and other presenting symptoms. EMDR integration with family therapy approaches will also be highlighted.
Objectives of Education:
To explain the sorts of instances that can benefit from EMDR treatment.

Francine Shapiro, Ph.D., is the creator and developer of EMDR, which has been so thoroughly investigated that it is now recognized as an effective treatment for trauma in the American Psychiatric Association’s Practice Guidelines, as well as those of the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Dr. Shapiro is an Emeritus Senior Research Fellow at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, California, the Executive Director of the EMDR Institute in Watsonville, California, and the founder and President Emeritus of the Trauma Recovery EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs, a non-profit organization that coordinates disaster response and low-cost trainings worldwide.
