DescriptionDescription:
The Satir Model focuses on the complete person, resulting in transformative change in the individual, family, and society systems. The therapy process is experiential, systemic, positive, and transformation focused. We are all part of a worldwide system that supplies energy for growth: the Life Force. Self-Esteem is the cornerstone of Satir’s work. It is a paradigm for growth that focuses on potential and challenges human beings’ awareness of the expression of Self and the critical need to esteem oneself and feel validated. Changing one’s mindset from one of rivalry to one of empowerment, from self-pity to one of congruence. The procedure necessitates that the therapist display therapeutic expertise, congruence, and give safety and direction. I will demonstrate and perform “The Iceberg,” one of Satir’s change vehicles, a powerful internal transformation process.
Objectives of Education:
Show and practice a transition process.
Demonstrate your understanding of how I use this technique to people, couples, families, and myself.
Talk about the notion of self-validation.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
