DescriptionDescription:
I’ve seen a number of psychotherapy approaches come and go in my five decades as a psychologist. Today, one out of every three Americans has visited one of the 250,000 authorized practitioners providing offers. Not only has the number of therapists increased, but the types of treatment have expanded to a real buffet. The assumptions that underpin successive spurts of therapeutic enthusiasm will be investigated and related to significant cultural and social events in recent history.
Objectives of Education:
To examine important developments in psychotherapy during the last 50 years.
Analyze and define some fundamental training requirements in the field today.
Give three instances of how you might encourage professional self-evaluation.*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
