Objectives of Learning
Participants will be able to develop corporate rules that serve as clear guidance for employees while also providing leadership with the tools needed to prevent attrition, fraud, and profit leakage.
Participants will be given concrete activities to follow in order to persuade the organization that ethical policies alone are insufficient.
Participants will be shown instances of escalation procedures for major occurrences.
Samantha holds a BS in accounting from Texas Woman’s University and an MS in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas, and she is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She has held Director and Vice-President positions on the board of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) – Dallas Chapter. She coordinated the speaker program for monthly chapter meetings and the chapter’s annual fraud conference in those positions. Samantha was named an ACFE Featured Member in August 2016 and was featured in ACFE Insights in December 2017.
Samantha has spoken at various conferences and professional groups about loyalty programs, account takeover fraud, and occupational fraud principles. She has assisted law enforcement in the investigation of credit card fraud organizations and human trafficking. Samantha worked in the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center in Dam Neck, Virginia, while in the United States Marine Corps. General James L. Jones awarded her a meritorious promotion and presented her with a handwritten letter and the Marine Corps Battle Standard.
Samantha has worked in risk and control environments for ten years and headed a Fortune 200 company’s fraud risk management program. She specializes in using data analytics to uncover fraud, creating appealing narratives from complicated data, and successfully communicating with all levels of leadership.
Samantha Weeks is a consultant living in Dallas, Texas. Samantha has experience working in military intelligence, retail, internal auditing, and fraud risk management. Accounts payable, cash balances, bank reconciliations, gasoline, loyalty programs, costs, procurement and supply chain operations, suppliers, inventories, wages, construction projects, and kick-back schemes have all been audited. Her specialization is account takeover fraud, which mostly affects the travel, hotel, retail, and banking industries.
