But before I go there, let me tell you a little bit about me.
I’m Brian Tracy, a world-renowned, in-demand business coach, best-selling author, and public speaker.
We never seemed to have enough money while I was growing up. My parents were decent individuals who seemed to be unemployed most of the time. “We can’t afford it!” was our family’s theme tune.
Instead of a high school diploma, I received a “Leaving Certificate.” My first full-time work was at a modest hotel as a dishwasher. I progressed from there to washing vehicles on a regular basis. This was only the beginning of a lengthy sequence of jobs that got me nowhere.
Worse, the more I worked, the further I got from where I wanted to be. My objectives might as well have been faraway stars since they seemed out of reach at the moment.
In fact, I was homeless long before it was considered respectable. During the winter, I lived in my car and slept near it during the summer.
What You Can Learn From My Experience: It Only Gets Better.
Things have changed drastically for me. I now reside in a lovely home on a golf course in Southern California. My family is happy and healthy. My company is incredibly successful, having operations in the United States, Canada, and a dozen other countries.
I tell you this not to gloat, but to show you that it is achievable for you as well. Believe me, if I can accomplish it, so can you. You’ll probably have an easier time than I did.
Your starting point may differ from mine. You may have a far better starting point than I did. But, regardless of where you are on your path, the crucial lesson here is to simply begin.
So, what occurred between my low point — being homeless and sleeping in my van — and my high point — living in a beautiful home with a healthy family and running a multi-million dollar business?
I researched human potential, company ownership, and success. And I put all I had learned to good use. I started spreading it from there. 22 enterprises that I have helped establish, develop, manage, or turn around. And, as I already stated, it simply continues getting better.
