Chris Parsons, NFIP Bureau & Statistical Agent
Chris Parson has 13 years of experience working with FEMA and the National Flood Insurance Program with both the “Write Your Own Program” and the NFIP Direct/Special Direct Facility. He has a Master’s of Business Administration with undergraduate degrees in Communication and Spanish. He also served as a linguist in the Air Force.
Steve Samuelson
Steve Samuelson, NFIP Specialist with KS Department of AB-Division of Water Resources
Steve Samuelson has been the National Flood Insurance Program Specialist at Kansas Department of Agriculture/Division of Water Resources since 2007. From 2005 to 2007, Steve worked for Lyon County as the Zoning Administrator and Floodplain Manager. Steve uses his experience from working in a local community to help other community officials. Steve is a Certified Floodplain Manager and Region 7 Director for the Association of State Floodplain Managers. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1982.
