Maybe you’re like the majority of folks. The majority of people are sleepwalking through life.

If combat is hours of monotony interspersed with moments of panic, contemporary life is days of boredom interspersed with moments of escape.

Nothing is worse than feeling as if your life is not your own. You perform a job you have to do, make money you have to make, hang around with meh people, and live an oatmeal existence.

Something strange happens: you begin to stare at the clock, waiting for work to be completed. You begin to say things like “Thank God it’s Friday.” You start adding a few pounds at work, or you work from home in your PJs. You’re drinking a couple more glasses of wine than you’d like, and you’re not sure why. You used to like what you were doing. You used to have a grand plan, but you’ve lost track of it somewhere along the line.

You want to travel and push yourself, but your salary does not match your ambitions.

You witness other individuals stacking their earnings, and you see a couple others glide right past you. You know you’re capable, but you don’t have the correct strategy. Everyone else seems to know the rules, but you have to make your own.

I’m not sure if you can relate, but for approximately ehhh 12+ years I did things I didn’t particularly enjoy in order to satisfy people I disliked, all in the name of money and society’s expectations.

Six years ago, I despised my job; I worked 65-70 hours a week, was a slave to my money, and was in a bad relationship.

Basically, I felt that I wasn’t in control of my day-to-day, much alone my life. Despite years of education, investment banking titles, a lot of hard work, and a seemingly glamorous life on the outside, I was miserable and stuck on the hamster wheel.

I recall distinctly feeling confused, working on someone else’s timetable, and weary of having my time linked to money.

Then one day I sort of awoke. That was probably around the time of my divorce. I was seated in another corporate meeting, wearing an uncomfortable unattractive suit dress and overall dissatisfied with my job at this company.

I had a lot of money but nothing to show for it.

I had average romantic and social interactions.

There were no genuine game plans and fewer results than I had hoped for.

I’d either rush from one chance to the next or linger too long.

I was surrounded by people that were similar to me, but they didn’t have the solutions.

I was stymied.
My REAL PROBLEM was doing things THEIR WAY.

So I resolved to do things MY WAY.

Hello, my name is Codie Sanchez. I’m a former Wall Streeter, former private equity investor, and former writer who is now the owner of 30+ small businesses and the founder of many 7 and 8 figure firms.
