Digital Nomads are a new breed of savvy entrepreneurs who are hacking the system and taking advantage of current economic conditions to live prosperously on their own terms and to live and work wherever they choose. After witnessing a few people defy reality, I decided that rather of waiting for retirement and fantasizing about exotic travel and the lifestyle I truly want, I’d spend a year developing a firm that I could operate remotely from anywhere on the planet.

And in November 2008, I boarded a one-way flight to Asia.
