Pierre Vigny developed one of the most comprehensive and successful European stick combat techniques by the late 1800s.
Several military, police, and martial arts organizations used the Vigny method for their own purposes from the early to mid-twentieth century.
These formations included the Kapap and Pal’mach Special Forces, as well as the inclusion of the United States H2H fighting teams in a 1940s supplementary handbook.
Superintendent H.G. Lang of the Kathiawar Agency Police instituted a Vigny-based training program for his personnel in the early 1920s.
This syllabus will eventually become the official style of stick fighting for the Indian Police Force.
Volume 2 introduces viewers to a number of interconnected guards that are necessary for comprehending the Vigny system of walking stick combat. This DVD also demonstrates a variety of offensive and defensive options unique to the Vigny auxiliary fighting postures.
