Petrilli holds an 8th degree black belt in Doce Pares eskrima, which he learned in the Philippines from Filipino legend Grandmaster Ciriaco’sCacoy’s Canete. He has refined his expertise into a superior method of stick combat that far beyond anything ever seen on video. Petrilli, a former US Army Ranger, is also a specialist in Indonesian pentjak silat and Japanese aikido. Over 5 hours of excellent training and information on the magnificent martial art of Eskrima!
VOL. 1 OF CRASHING THE LINES (95 min.) Master Petrilli teaches you how to shift from largo mano range to the close-in fighting that typifies Doce Pares eskrima in Volume 1 of this unparalleled Paladin DVD series. From there, he moves into sinawali patterns, which demonstrate how to hit and weaken your opponent before pulling him into the locking and throwing lines that will finish him off.
VOL. 2 OF CRASHING THE LINES (115 min.) Volume 2 continues where Volume 1 left off with the Snake Set, a series of locks, chokes, and throws that begin with the’ssnake’s disarm taught by many fighting techniques. Petrilli then teaches a devastating combination of locks and throws from the arm bar position after going many moves deep and countering your opponent’s counterattack. Finally, he demonstrates how to achieve the same devastating compressions, locks, and throws described in Volume I with only a few inches of stick end.
VOL. 3 OF CRASHING THE LINES (95 min) Volume 3 begins with compressions and throws performed by slipping beneath your opponent’s arm. The line then weaves from below the arm to above the arm for a more demanding series of locks and throws. Petrilli concludes the Crashing the Lines video series by removing the stick entirely, teaching you how to perform the identical moves you learned in the previous videos with no stick to the same severe result.
