I’m new to yoga and have only recently begun. This is for people who are comfortable with fundamental positions and wish to shape their bodies further. I liked that there are two workouts, one 25 minutes and one 45 minutes. I decided to do the 45-minute workout because I had the day off. I could barely survive 15 minutes. Even though I didn’t complete the task, every muscle in my body is trembling right now. I believe this DVD will help you acquire a terrific body. The coach on the DVD is also excellent at assisting you in maintaining your breathing and suggesting tweaks if you are experiencing difficulty.
I used to practice a lot of yoga but hadn’t done it in a while and wanted to get back into it, so I decided to give this a shot. It could be a little tough for a novice and it’s very fast paced but I found it to be a decent exercise and close to what I recall of all my yoga courses. I appreciate that there are options for 25 and 45 minutes. I wish there was more diversity, and it’s missing several wonderful yoga postures, but it’s a nice start, and I’d certainly suggest it for the price.
I always start with the 20-minute part. The movements/poses are simple to do and they don’t remain in them for long, which is fantastic.
For me, the 45-minute part is just too long. In this portion, I believe the positions are too lengthy. However, it is ideal to do first thing in the morning to get the day off to a good start.
I wasn’t sure about this one, so I tried it first on Netflix, but I was pleasantly pleased. The DVD includes two practices, one 25-minute and one 45-minute. Both are excellent beginner flow yoga sessions that emphasize breathing and strengthening/flexibility. I enjoy how the instructor does not do the yoga; it feels more like a class than a practice that way, and I like how he starts with the easiest posture and then describes different alternatives in order of difficulty. He is also quite easy to follow vocally; after the first few of workouts, I stopped looking at the screen. The 45-minute practice flies fast, and I generally feel bored during yoga, so I really suggest it! The only drawback is that the camera can be a bit unsteady at times, which can be disconcerting when watching it, and some people may think he talks too much, but I prefer the constant verbal instructions and encouragement.
This is a decent workout for beginners, but seasoned yoga practitioners will definitely get bored with it. I like how he emphasizes breathing, which is something I usually struggle with when I work out, especially with yoga/pilates. The reminders to breathe are also not too bothersome. I would absolutely suggest it for beginners to intermediates.
The two yoga routines on this DVD are wonderful yet simple. I appreciate Kurt Johnson’s guidance, however several of the transitions from posture to position felt odd. There are two routines, one 25 minute and one 45 minute. I would have like a full 30-minute workout as well as an hour-long routine. The two workouts were extremely identical, and I would have preferred a little more diversity. Overall, a good value for money DVD.
The yoga routine is highly detailed, offers excellent teaching, and raises the heart rate. The duration of the DVD is excellent. It’s 45 minutes long, so you’ll feel like you got in a good exercise! I’m excited for the sequel!
