Dan Kennedy – Writing For Info Marketers Training & Certification Program
Archive : Dan Kennedy – Writing For Info Marketers Training & Certification Program
TESTED AND NOW AVAILABLE:
A clue to the immense treasure mine of freelance writing jobs available inside the “information marketing sector.”
– where I’ve resided for the past 38 years…
Right now, excellent clients require skilled authors…
Let me tell you about info-marketers, where you may discover them, and how to write for them… provide you with templates and examples of what they want… prepare you in every way to succeed with these clients AND ARRANGE FOR YOUR AVAILABILITY AS A FREELANCE WRITER TO BE ADVERTISED TO THESE CLIENTS AT NO COST TO YOU.
It is a game-changing chance. It is also limited, and time is of the essence, so please read this as soon as possible. This is a lengthy letter since it covers a wide range of topics related to finding appropriate writing jobs and clients for you.
Dear AWAI Member and Fellow Writer,
Katie Yeakle persuaded me in 2012, after much deliberation, to take a limited number of AWAI writers inside the industry I helped birth, develop, and stand as the recognized leader of – information marketing – and introduce them to “hungry” clients eager to find new talent and good, well-prepared writers.
Since then, about 450 authors have finished the special preparation, and many have connected with clients, with testimonials from writers who are overjoyed with their new information-marketer clients continuing to stream in.
Anecdotally, I can tell you that information marketers I know personally have paid more than $200,000 to authors CERTIFIED via our Program. The total is far greater. More significantly, the need for talented copywriters and content writers among this industry’s information marketing entrepreneurs is insatiable….and growing…both locally and internationally. Its Welcome Mat is ready for YOU! However, some consumers have SPECIFIC demands and criteria.
What they DON’T want and won’t tolerate: authors who don’t understand how their businesses function, why their consumers purchase, and what they require.
Who better to train you to jump in and succeed with these clients than me, who nearly founded their company and was paid over $1 million per year to write for them?
What you need to support yourself as a professional writer is a steady stream of clients who “consuming” a lot of material month after month.
Clients with whom you may “live.” Clients who provide you certainty, stability, and a consistent supply of work.
There’s no better place to find them than within the information marketing sector. Information marketers’ firms require the most writing of any type, however many of its owners are not strong writers or can do it but do not want to. And the quantity required prevents them from accomplishing everything.
You would immediately think of newsletter publishers, but they are only a minor portion of this “secret sector”…
The info-marketing world is made up of thousands of complex, multi-product publishers, seminar companies, coaching organizations, and membership associations – and the question I and my friend, Robert Skrob, President of the Information Marketing Industry, hear the most is: where can I find competent copywriters I don’t have to teach from scratch about my info-marketing business?
As an example, I had an info-marketer on an AWAI call who encouraged authors to “audition” – he promised to offer a pay assignment to one but really employed three, and one has earned many jobs so far. He’s ordinary. These people are H-U-N-G-R-Y seeking authors who are eager to go to work on their ideas.
So, let’s have a look at some common clientele…
the industry’s size, breadth, and character…
the range of writing required…
and where you could fit in.
Then, if you like, I may give you the passcode. I’ll welcome you in. I’ll prepare you for these clientele and responsibilities. I’ll even arrange for your availability to be promoted to them at no cost. I’ll even give you feedback on your first piece (unseen by your client).
Who are these clients, and why is there such a high demand for freelance copywriters and writers?
Many are professional/business niche marketers. Many are marketers of hobby/recreation/personal interest subcultures. Some people work as mass marketers. Almost all are publishers in some capacity – of offline books, courses, newsletters, and other materials, as well as online courses, newsletters, blogs, and multi-blog sites.
Most have ‘ascension models,’ which means that their consumer starts with an info-product purchase and then progresses through subsequent purchases, subscription or membership tiers.
Many are also involved in the seminar, workshop, conference, and convention industry. Many are also in the coaching industry. Many are also involved in the catalog industry. Some even provide ‘done for them’ services to their clients, such as newsletters or marketing campaigns.
Many are modest, solitary enterprises with small staffs and extensive out-sourcing, discreetly making six-figure or even seven-figure earnings. Others have large operations with 20 to 200 staff, inside and outside salespeople, and even brick-and-mortar facilities around the country. Let me give you a few instances of each, of course without identifying names:
A firm that offers advertising, marketing, and management education, training, and coaching, as well as done-for-them direct mail, website, and social media services, and multiple restaurant industry conferences each year. Its clients join a membership program, which has around 3,000 members on average. The firm is always updating its own industry marketing as well as producing fresh campaigns for its members. Annual revenue of around $20 million. (Over 100 different niches are served by very similar and similarly large enterprises, including dentistry, home furnishings shops, auto dealers, auto repair shop owners, real estate brokers, insurance agents, salon and spa operators, and so on. AS YOUR CLIENT CHANGES EVERYTHING, JUST ONE OF THESE COMPANIES!)
A health care organization with over 300 franchised clinics around the country that is continuously looking for fresh newspaper advertisements, direct-mail campaigns, and web marketing geared at patients with chronic diseases. Annual revenue in excess of $150 million.
A publishing company that creates and sells DVD and online courses on wine, cooking, art, travel, and health, anti-aging, and longevity, as well as tests new direct-mail packages against controls for key products and solo offers, updates and publishes dozens of different catalogs each year, and feeds content to online and social media sites. Annual revenue of around $10 million.
An “opportunity firm” that does research and compiles material for one to several new moneymaking chances each month and then creates extensive, multi-step, multi-media campaigns that reach up to one million individuals. Annual revenue of around $10 million.
A Christian and secular parenting skills coaching company that produces books, home study courses, online courses, newsletters, and holds conferences. This year, a relatively young company will launch hundreds of new items, as well as web sites, e-zines, and other online support, Amazon store material, and social network content.
A for-profit martial arts trade group that produces a monthly online magazine, bulletins, done-for-the-academies advertising and marketing campaigns (typically related to martial arts themed movies like Kung Fu Panda), has conferences for academy owners, and holds webinars and tele-seminars. Annual revenue of around $15 million.
What ALL of these enterprises have in common is that they are solely based on the written word!
Both their items and their marketing must be written. Most businesses have a certain number of significant campaigns and product launches each year, on which they may already rely on freelance or in-house copywriters.
However, most people require e-mails, e-zines, webinars and webinar marketing efforts, follow-up campaigns, blogs, social media, print newsletters, and other materials on a daily basis. Many of these firms began with their proprietors writing all of the text alone, but they have outgrown that single person’s capacity to keep up.
Direct-response content for commercials, sales letters, brochures, catalogs, and web sites drives all of these companies’ sales.
Their need for sellable content is voracious. Beat-the-control opportunities exist. These opportunities are available for ‘new talent’ who can bring new ideas and views to the table. Even those that pay me on occasion utilize several to many other copywriters.
Everyone is aware of the handful of well-known newsletter publishers for whom many AWAI Members write – and many more aspire. But there’s a huge “cottage industry” here of info-businesses unknown outside their own niches, each generating anywhere from $1 million or so as a “kitchen table operation” to $20 million or more… hundreds and hundreds of them… all still run by their creators, so you work with the man or woman at the helm. These are business owners who are open to new ideas and keen to find fresh, informed, talented authors.
New businesses start up all the time, so there are always possibilities to “hook up with” a new info-marketer and grow alongside him or her. In fact, this year, I’ll have over 125 “start-up” information marketers with me for a day at the information marketing industry’s yearly convention (GKIC’s INFO-Summit), and one of the things I’ll be telling them about is the small, elite tribe of my Certified Copywriters for Info-Marketers, as well as the online directory of them maintained by AWAI in collaboration with the Information Marketing Association.
There are also other more writing possibilities available here than sales letters. Info-marketers are continuously in need of new online, website, e-zine, and social media material.
They require the conversion of their lectures, seminars, and other training into articles that can be syndicated, tools for coaching members, and products that can be sold. They require ghostwritten books and courses. BUT ORDINARY FREELANCERS FAIL to attract and maintain these customers, as well as this fantastic writing job, since info-marketers want all writing to be done in a certain style, tailored to satisfy a specific, multi-faceted marketing objective.
Fortunately for you, I am well acquainted with that underlying objective. The invisible engineering in all of the textual stuff distributed by these information marketers. When I provide you this “code” and ensure that you grasp it, you’ll be able to discuss these projects with these potential customers in a way that immediately gets their trust and telegraphs that you’re no ordinary writer; that you “get” what they’re about. (Also, most believe they’ve wasted a lot of money on writers who give ‘product’ that they have to modify to utilize, so they’re hesitant to try.)
Also, once I offer you this “code,” you’ll be able to provide the type of writing clients want and desire.
Where others have failed, you will succeed.
These clients will value the fact that I completed my Course and obtained my Certification. Until recently, I did my best to keep this client source to myself. But the fact is that there are thousands of clients here who can’t, aren’t yet large enough to, or just won’t pay MY prices, and who have requirements that I’m not interested in meeting even if they would. Most people, however, are aware that I am the go-to copywriter for info-marketers. So, if you approach these clients having been CERTIFIED BY ME as a copywriter well-versed in info-marketing, you’ll get a favorable response.
AFTER COMPLETION OF THIS PROGRAM, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS…
THAT CAN DIRECTLY BRING YOU CLIENTS…
Your availability as a freelance copywriter/writer particularly trained in the info-marketing sector will be promoted for you at no cost to you… to the whole membership of the Association, thanks to a collaborative connection with the Information Marketing Association.

THE SECRET OF SPECIALIZATION: Golden Keys to Increased Demand and Income
I’d like to tell you about a very crucial reason why the training and information-marketing business expertise I supply in this Program… and your use of it, as well as your Certification, to “create a beachhead” in this business… may be the most valuable asset you could ever obtain, in terms of building a constant pipeline of assignments, high money, exciting writing chances, and respected, thankful clients:
The jack-of-all-trades handyman, the go-anywhere travel agent, the ‘generic’ real estate agent, the everyday M.D….
All of this takes eons less than the professional artisan recognized for his hand-carved, custom-built cabinets, the globe cruise, safari, and extraordinary-experiences travel adviser, my customer who solely specializes in heartland-of-America investment properties, and the heart surgeon.
Most copywriters are multi-talented handymen. Some authors specialize in web or business-to-business writing. And it’s getting closer. However, an even more important specialty is in an area… where there is enough variation to avoid conflicts of interest, but enough similarity that you can be the expert writer for that sort of firm.
Writing for an industry with an extensive, continual demand and strong appetite for copywriting and writing at all levels of expertise and competence makes it much simpler to attract customers and earn the sort of income you desire as a writer.
That is exactly what you will become as a result of this Program – quickly!
Of fact, no speciality or associated Certification is really useful in and of itself. Ask the thousands of “life coaches” who have spent large sums of money to be accredited by some institution but yet have no customers. What happens if a Certification falls in the forest but no one is around to hear it? That’s an ethereal, philosophical inquiry concerning the fundamental essence of existence, best discussed with friends and plenty of wine on a backyard terrace beneath a starry night. But, more importantly, how do you make your specialized training matter? Simply put, how do you ensure genuine opportunity, rather than skill, ability, and knowledge?
That is why I have arranged for your Certified status to be tied to a market with magnetic appealing power. MY name is “magical” in the area of information marketing. The Dan Kennedy Info-Marketing Copywriter Certification will be useful. Then, I’ve arranged for your availability to be publicized for you. And I’ll teach you precisely how to uncover a plethora of info-marketers with whom you can contact directly – in your local location; in the product category that most interests you. This has “teeth!”
This is an incredibly comprehensive program available only to AWAI Members, offering (1) thorough, specialist preparation for specific writing opportunities + (2) targeted access to opportunities and clients + (3) endorsement via Certification + (4) actual advertising of your availability done for you directly to potential clients. Everything you need to be a successful freelance copywriter and/or writer for the info-marketing profession…
EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED:
The Course itself consists of four online courses. They are as follows:
Module 1: A Comprehensive ‘Tour’ of the Information Marketing Industry Module 2: These Clients’ Needs and Specific Writing Opportunities
Module 3: Client Acquisition: Who, Where, and How: Who They Are, Where to Find Them, and How to Present Yourself to Them Effectively
Module 4: Effective Copywriting for Info-Marketers with a Sample Portfolio and Analysis
You will also receive a (offline) Reference Manual with Writing Templates, Outlines, Checklists, and Samples, a copy of the Information Marketing Association’s updated Official Get Rich Guide To Info-Marketing, published by Entrepreneur Press as a course textbook, and my special Certification.
Module 1 will thoroughly familiarize you with the various types of companies and entrepreneurs in the industry, as illustrated by actual examples, and will provide you with an insider understanding of how their businesses work, where their profits come from, and how their owners approach advertising, marketing, customer development and retention, and products.
You’ll also master the vernacular, or industry/tribal language, so you can speak with these clients confidently and avoid blunders that might label you as an outsider or ill-informed amateur, casting doubt on your skills. These customers do not want “simply a copywriter” who they believe they must educate, train, and work with extensively; they want someone who is ready to write for them. This Module ensures that you are not viewed as a “alien in a strange land.”
Module 2 delves into these clients’ varied demands, such as lead conversion, monetizing resistive or inactive leads, new customer acquisition, upsells, and so on, as well as all offline and online media utilized and how it is used…resulting in a “catalog” of writing chances with these companies. Armed with this intimate knowledge, you don’t just show up at their door with a “Will Write For Food” sign and a laptop; you can ask thoughtful, probing questions about their needs (demonstrating your willingness to engage with them) and propose ways you might help. You’ll also receive a Resources Directory of respected info-marketing industry experts and vendors, such as direct-mail services, Google and SEO services, social media marketing, and so on, so that you can visit their sites, access their literature, and build your understanding of who-does-what-for-whom in the info-marketing world.
Module 3 explains WHO these clients are, WHERE to discover them via various online and offline sources, and HOW TO PRESENT YOURSELF TO THEM EFFECTIVELY via distance communication or in-person. In this Module, you’ll also learn how to build and use your listing in the AWAI-IMA Online Directory of Dan Kennedy Certified Info-Marketing Copywriters, as well as additional ways to sell yourself to clients “on Planet Dan.” You’ll also learn how to discover “hidden info-marketers” that work silently in your local town, city, or neighborhood. THIS IS “WHERE THE RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD”: you are pointing towards clients who are eager to see someone exactly like you!
Module 4 is crucial preparation for info-marketers to really produce copy that sells. We’ll look at copy for info-products, courses, money-making possibilities, seminars, tele-seminars, webinars, conferences, conventions, coaching programs, and a variety of other things. The main text elements for each specialized purpose, as well as general topics of “why buyers buy information,” are covered. You’ll also learn how to identify and monitor ongoing campaigns from leading info-marketers online. You will also be prepared to write non-sales material for these customers, such as books and courses, newsletters, web content, and other deliverables. This Module is all about shortcuts and speed, so you can instantly adapt your writing talents to info-marketing demands. KEEP IN MIND: This industry accounts for more than half of my copywriting work, for which I am paid well over a million dollars in fees and royalties each year. I’m at the top of my career after 30+ years, and some of my clients have been with me for almost that long… and an unrivaled “bank” of material and samples in the globe.
Each Module comprises of an online 60 to 75-minute spoken slide-show presentation with integrated examples; a homework assignment; and links to further free resources. In addition, a printed copy of the presentation will be provided in your Reference Manual.
Remember that I PERSONALLY PREPARED THIS WHOLE PROGRAM.
CERTIFICATION: Your Certification will be provided once you have completed the Course and an online exam. You will then be able to identify yourself as a Dan Kennedy Certified Info-Marketing Copywriter in any or all of your marketing and professional writings if you follow specific standards. You will also be able to promote yourself in the aforementioned unique web directory.
AND, AS WE SAY IN DIRECT REPLY: WAIT – THERE’S MORE!
(1) – AS A FAST ACTION BONUS, you will also receive online access to an interview series created specifically for this Program, in which IMA’s President Robert Skrob interviews info-marketers about their use of freelance copywriters, the types of projects they work on, and what they look for in the freelancers they hire.
(2) – EXTRA BONUS: FREE IMA MEMBERSHIP FOR TWO MONTHS. Shipping and handling is $9.78. You can fully participate as an Information Marketing Association Member for two months, a fantastic opportunity to become a genuine insider in the info-marketing field, with web site access, tele-classes, and my No B.S. Obviously, if you are serious about writing for information marketers, you will profit much from becoming an active IMA Member, but there is no compulsion to do so. You’ll be given a unique AWAI link to an IMA site to register for your 2-month trial membership with Program Module #1.
There’s another potential benefit to all of this: when you learn more about how the info-marketing sector works and how much money can be made, you may decide to become your own client and enter the area as an entrepreneur and publisher. If this is the case, your IMA membership, access to its resources, and my No B.S. INFO-Marketing Letter will be extremely beneficial!

If you need to discuss your work with customers, I offer 1-hour private tele-consulting calls at a significant reduction from my usual charge. You keep everything in your back pocket, ready to draw out and utilize as needed.
(4) – BONUS: I just taped three no-holds-barred Q&A sessions with aspiring Info Marketers.
You are welcome to listen in and hear what I have to say about…
When you don’t have a large portfolio, how can you “repurpose” current copy?
The importance of employing narrative leads in self-promotion
Why is it critical to track client response to content pieces?
How to demonstrate your knowledge of your client’s industry
What to look for when developing a website to attract information marketers
How to Establish Yourself as a “Marketing Strategist”
Getting your clients to assist you in analyzing their demands (other than “copy”)
and a lot more Let’s go over some crucial FACTS regarding the one-of-a-kind opportunity that awaits you as an information marketer:
(1): There is a whole sector that is in desperate need of freelance copywriters and writers that understand its business and demands – an area that, oddly, is not too saturated with writers.
(2): The majority of the firms in it are small to mid-sized, with sales ranging from six to seven figures, where the owner is an entrepreneur, and you get to work with the ‘top dog.’
(3): Because these organizations have strong profit margins and good equity in long-term customer value, as well as “major pay-day chances” like seminars and product launches, their clients can afford – and will pay – substantial rates to authors on whom they have grown to rely.
(4): There is a continuing demand since these firms rely on textual contact with their clients on a daily, weekly, monthly, online, and offline basis.
Everything they do in terms of sales and deliveries revolves on the printed word!
This implies you can maintain existing relationships and generate a continual stream of “future assignments.”
(5): Because these clients are clannish and collaborate in joint enterprises and alliances, success with one essentially ensures recommendations to others.
(6): They’re everywhere because they can be located anywhere – there are multi-million dollar info-marketers quietly working from their homes, in small offices, or at the corner Starbucks in your town, but these clients are very accustomed to working with vendors and professionals at a distance and eager to outsource, so you have the entire industry as your market no matter where you live.
(7): They convene at significant conferences every year, so there are possibilities for in-person networking, lecturing, and even exhibit-hall promotion if you choose to sell yourself that way.
(8): Your Dan Kennedy Certification will have a big impact on these clients. Many have been “birthed” by me, many more have studied my materials and followed my lead in founding and building their info-businesses, thousands receive my weekly expressly for this industry, and I am well-known and respected across this area. (9) This is one of the MOST COMPLETE PROGRAMS EVER MADE AVAILABLE TO AWAI MEMBERS!
Imagine finally having a “pool” of good potential clients anxious to locate skilled freelance copywriters and writers, knowing just how to present oneself to them, and even receiving direct aid in recruiting them… By developing long-term connections with customers that “consume” massive amounts of writing, can keep you occupied with exciting work, and are eager to support you in style! Isn’t this significant?
THIS is precisely what this industry does.
