David E. Goldman, D.O., J.D., is the presenter.
Participants will be able to do the following by the conclusion of this session:
1) Recognize Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
2) Identify the ADHD specifiers (subtypes).
3) Examine ADHD over the lifetime.
4) Summarize and apply ADHD therapy.
5) Be familiar with the DEA’s Schedule of Controlled Substances.
Dr. Goldman is a University of Illinois and Washington University School of Law graduate. Later, he received his D.O. from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSUKCOM) in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Goldman did his internship and residency in psychiatry at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, and Vanderbuilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. At Vanderbuilt, Dr. Goldman also completed his residency in child and adolescent psychiatry. He is the Medical Director of The Goldman Group, LLC, a psychiatry/therapy practice. Dr. Goldman maintains his private psychotherapy and psychopharmacology management practice while also working as a medicolegal consultant. He teaches at both Southern Illinois University Medical School in Springfield, Illinois, and ATSUKCOM. Dr. Goldman received the Max Gutensohn Professor of the Year Award at ATSUKCOM in 2001, and the International Brotherhood of Magicians gave him the Order of Merlin Excalibur.
