SSA has recently proposed legislation that will extend many of the characteristics of the Region 1 DSI “pilot” statewide (including the 5 Day Rule for submission of evidence). Hear from a panel of four experienced attorneys from four different Region 1 states about how the “pilot” is being implemented, including issues such as time limits for submitting evidence, good cause for late submission, interaction with the all evidence rule, interaction with the ALJ’s duty to develop the record, and additional notice of scheduled hearings.

After graduating from Boston College Law School in 1971, he worked for Tolland Windham Legal Assistance in Northeastern Connecticut from 1971 to 1974 before moving north to Keene, NH and NH Legal Assistance (1975-79). He has been conducting Social Security hearings and federal court appeals throughout Northern New England since the late 1970s.
