Dr. Dustin Higgins grew up in Gilbert, Arizona, a Phoenix suburb. He is the seventh kid in a family of nine. He attended Brigham Young University for undergrad and then Midwestern University in Illinois for medical school. He finished his internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis before moving on to a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Washington University in St. Louis. He is now the sole Endocrinologist in his group in Quincy, Illinois. With his wife and six sons, he likes fishing and pond swimming.
Dr. Higgins reports that he was paid as a speaker by Novo Nordisk over the last twelve months. He is no longer involved with Novo Nordisk.
