At an intermediate level, the sword form was performed with a little knife in the opposite hand, the one that ordinarily carries the “knife fingers.” The knife was inserted later to prevent the first pupil from cutting his fingers off! Beginner and intermediate “sword/knife” forms are presented. The more typical form is taught initially, followed by the entire form employing the knife, when to bring it out and when to conceal it. There are also some fascinating dexterity training activities demonstrated. If you’re interested in Taijiquan sword form and have previously learned the basic form, this one will take you to the next level! This is a severe combat method in which all fighting techniques are directed at dim-mak locations.
