DescriptionNowadays, stress is all around us. And it may be costly if it is not identified and treated efficiently and wisely. Though the word “compassion fatigue” is frequently used, how true is it? Is it possible to get tired of feeling, expressing, or manifesting compassion? This recording will go more into the well-known phenomena of burnout, which occurs when individuals who care for others feel a depletion of their energy, as well as emotional and physical lassitude. Practices will be given to prevent compassion fatigue and to recover our energy if we have experienced it. Dr. Maté’s lecture contains scientific results as well as engaging and moving tales from his broad experience in family medicine and palliative care.
