Put Your Skills to the Test and Earn Your Pink Belt
After you’ve put in the time and mastered the skills, you’ll be able to take the Women Empowered test! You will digitally videotape yourself taking the test and send it to GracieUniversity.com using a novel Video Evaluation Process. A professional teacher will examine your test, and if your performance passes Gracie University requirements, you will get your Pink Belt!

Empower the Community by Becoming a Certified Instructor
Previously, someone had to own or run a professional martial arts school in order to be eligible for instructor certification in the Women Empowered program. We understood later that in order for this initiative to reach women worldwide, we needed to remove this access barrier. Women Empowered 2.0 was created with this goal in mind, therefore everyone who completes the curriculum and receives a score of 95 or above on the Pink Belt Test will be asked to participate in the Women Empowered Instructor Certification Program (WE ICP). Women Empowered graduates will be accredited and permitted to teach the program anywhere in the globe, for profit or not! Our objective is to have qualified teachers in every city worldwide, so that Women Empowered is available in every fitness facility, college campus, church, military post, and beyond. There are women all around the world who have yet to discover jiu-jitsu, and with your assistance, jiu-jitsu will find them!

Here’s a quick rundown of the teacher certification process:

Step 1: Get Your Pink Belt: After completing the curriculum and scoring a 95 or above on the Pink Belt Test, you will be entitled to apply for the WE ICP.

Step 2 – Complete the Online ICP: Once your application is accepted and you pass the background check, you will begin a 60-day online course (to be published Fall 2019), which will expose you to all of the fundamental teaching approaches of the Women Empowered program. You must pass a written test and upload five Teaching Competency Videos (TPVs) proving your proficiency in the core teaching skills at the conclusion of the online ICP.

Step 3 – Pass the Live Exam: Successful online ICP graduates will be asked to participate in the Live Exam at the Gracie University Headquarters in Torrance, California. If you pass the Live Evaluation, you will be featured as a Women Empowered Certified Instructor on GracieUniversity.com and will be permitted to teach the curriculum in your community, for profit or not.
