The video above features footage from master sessions for students and teachers held in Kiev on May 1-3, 2012, under the direction of Hiromichi Nagano (7th dan Aikido, 5th dan Judo) and Masayuki Amano (7th dan Aikido, 3rd dan Aikijutsu).
Sensei Nagano is a professional instructor and the official representative of the International Yoshinkan Aikido Federation in Germany. He oversees the following countries: Italy, Ukraine, and Poland.
Masayuki Amano Sensei formerly worked as the Tokyo Police Department’s head teacher for special forces training. The execution of techniques in one continuous movement is one of Amano Sensei’s aikido’s distinguishing features. Technical actions are stronger, shorter, and more forceful. Controls and retentions differ from traditional controls and are designed for usage on the “street.”
On May 1 and 2, four trainings were performed in which both sensei were on the tatami at the same time, splitting all participants into two groups. Three trainings were held, with children included.
The ways of working with a police baton, fundamental techniques, and free execution of techniques were displayed on May 3 during master courses for chief teachers and senior students of the clubs.
Russian is the language.
