Sadateru ARIKAWA (9th dan, 1930-2003) was a great aikido master.
During his time in France (1990-1994), he impressed many practitioners not only with his effective and powerful aikido, but also with his approach to teaching, which included extensive, detailed, and precise explanations.
In the first two volumes of the series, Me Arikawa discusses basic aikido concepts that are often overlooked, such as the significance of breathing, ashi-sabaki (base placement), finding a good posture, using hanmi, how to serrer the poing, irimi-tenkan, base cuts in bokken, and so on.
These films are unusual and valuable resources for anybody interested in learning more about aikido. Japanese and French are the two languages used.
