COVID19 has introduced new problems and opportunities in experiential education, particularly in the areas of remote and virtual learning. Participants at this roundtable will discuss unique ideas and methods from their own precepting experiences. In our new virtual environment, facilitators will share best practices and precepting trends.

Discuss excellent practices and tactics for engaging students effectively during remote/virtual rotations.
Dr. Moon is an associate professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota (U of MN) and an adjunct associate professor in the U of MN School of Medicine. She is clinical faculty at the University of Minnesota North Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program, where she provides comprehensive medication management services to a medically disadvantaged patient population in North Minneapolis while also teaching pharmacy, medical, and resident students. Dr. Moon is the Program Director for the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. In 2005, she got her Doctor of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Dr. Moon is passionate about pulmonary medicine and smoking cessation.

Caitlin Frail, PharmD, MS, BCACP is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy Twin Cities in the department of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems. She directs Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in Community Pharmacy and is interested in novel approaches of precepting in virtual care.
