It took me a few years to get there.
And I didn’t get my money from my parents.
When I was a youngster, things became so terrible that we had to live in government-subsidized housing and rely on food stamps to put food on the table.
Don’t get me wrong: I had a great time as a youngster… perhaps a little too much fun.
I just finished high school.
My father literally evicted me from the house… and I was living on my own… while still a high school student.
I didn’t even finish with the rest of my class… I had to return the next semester to complete a few more subjects in order to receive my High School Diploma.
After squandering a couple of years doing nothing with my life, I ultimately decided to attend a Community College because it was all I could afford at the time… and I had to work my tail off throughout the summer to earn up enough money to go to college… 12 hour night jobs at the canning plant for minimal money and daytime pruning Christmas trees and apple harvesting at the… I’d go weeks without sleeping… and barely make enough to get by.
But I saved enough money to pay for Community College and my bills… but there wasn’t much left over.

There were times when the only things in my fridge were a bunch of lettuce and a couple of bottles of beer… But, hey, I was a college student, so having beer in my refrigerator was like having a Gold Mine!
The first few years went well… until I needed to transfer to a major university to complete my degree.
During the school week, I had to work up to 60 hours a week, juggling numerous jobs as a waiter, bartender, warehouse worker, unloading freight trains, loading docks, you name it… I did whatever it needed to make ends meet and pay for school… I even had to work at an automobile supply plant that looked like something out of a movie about non-unionized workers in the 1800s… I was scared for my life… it was very terrifying!
Going to courses and doing my homework was obviously not a priority, so the University placed me on “Academic Probation” for a whole year… It was their way of expressing, “you’ve been tossed out of college since you never show up to class and your grades are terrible.”
After 8 arduous years, I was finally able to graduate… with a four-year degree… and even then just by a hair’s breadth.
My ambition was never to “graduate from high school and go work for someone else.” The only reason I went to college in the first place was because that’s what I was told I needed to do if I wanted to succeed… and I believed “them” for a short time before coming to my senses.
My ambition was to start my own business.
My own business would provide me with the money, power, and flexibility to do anything I wanted, whenever I wanted.
I eventually did attain my goals… several years ahead of schedule… and in doing so…

I became the go-to guy for traffic generation and list building.
