DescriptionThe most recent discoveries in neuroscience have provided us with tremendous insights into the workings of the brain and its relationship to our psychological and physical well-being. However, in-depth brain research might be difficult for mental health specialists to grasp – terms like “Subgenual anterior cingulate cortex” mean very nothing to most of us.
And you’re up against more than just words. How do you overcome the difficulty of bringing complex scientific and biological knowledge to clinical practice? How does neuroscience aid you when you’re working with clients who are dealing with stress, depression, addiction, and other issues on a daily basis?
This video will help you apply key scientific and biological principles to your therapeutic treatment with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance misuse, and trauma.
Even better, you’ll go beyond understanding the basic mechanics underlying various diseases to receive extensive guidance on practical therapy options you can employ with your clients. You’ll learn to individualize therapies based on Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Attachment, and Somatic Psychologies and apply them to the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, addictions, and more through case studies, experiential exercises, and brief lectures.
Even better, you’ll get to put what you’ve learned into practice under the expert supervision of our teacher, and you’ll get thorough handouts that you can use right away in your clinical work.
Cut through the confusing studies and incomprehensible language to learn how understanding neuroscience may revolutionize the way you perceive and operate with your customers!
