Dr. Jonathon Mitchem graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. He received his general surgery residency from Washington University in St. Louis and his colorectal surgery fellowship from the Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts. The American Board of Surgery has certified him in General Surgery. The American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery has also certified him in Colon and Rectal Surgery. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Mitchem has been busy in the research lab exploring immune-based and precision treatment in colorectal cancer, which is financed by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
Dr. Mitchem is a colorectal and general surgeon now working at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
