Joy Schechtman, DO, FACR, FACOI, is the owner of Sun Valley Arthritis Center in Peoria, Arizona, and a board-certified internist and rheumatologist. Dr. Schechtman is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Education at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Professor of Clinical Education at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and College of Allied Health Professions. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and a fellowship in rheumatology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, after graduating from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Schechtman has served as the principal investigator in over 170 studies involving rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoporosis, and gout.
