In 1983, Ken Wilber met the love of his life. Her name is Terry Killam, or Treya, later she was called. She was beautiful, intelligent, more acutely aware and full of life and vitality than anyone she’d ever met. She has a great sense of humor, passion for nature, art, service, psychology and spirituality, and radiates warmth and kindness from her heart.

“That’s love at first sight.” There was a strong and undeniable familiar feeling that Ken and Treya felt when they met. She was the woman Ken had been waiting for his whole life and soon after, they were married.

Just ten days after getting married, before she had a chance to actually start living together, Treya was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. For the next five years, Treya and Ken did their best to recover from this devastating disease, including orthodox arsenal and alternative treatments, before Treya’s life ended prematurely. in 1989.

This is their story. It’s a story of incredible suffering, radical liberation and a love that always exists over time and space itself – a love that goes beyond life and death, both seeming to be Very small things in comparison.
