They may “strike first and ask questions afterwards”. They respond rashly and have difficulties communicating what they require or what frustrates them. She has a private practice in Burnsville, Minnesota, where she works with clients who have information, executive functioning, and sensory processing deficiencies, as well as the emotional, behavioral, and mental health disorders that go with them. Dr. Ehlert has worked with thousands of adolescents in hospitals, residential treatment facilities, partial hospital programs, school day treatment, and outpatient mental health settings. She has a PhD in clinical psychology and her expertise focuses on childhood developmental difficulties and child psychopathology.

All behavior serves a purpose and is motivated by a goal.
