In this session, I’ll show you how to use shape layers in After Effects to simulate 3D motion in an animation. To do this, I’ll walk you through the process of creating this false 3D (or 2.5D) swerving automobile in After Effects using only shape layers.
To take this class, you’ll need a basic grasp of After Effects, but I’ll go over the process methodically and in depth, so even if you’re new to After Effects, you shouldn’t have too much trouble following along!
Because I’ll be covering a few examples and approaches on the road to this completed animation, at the conclusion of the session you’ll be able to:
– Constructing a 3D object from simple 2D form layers
– Produce dynamic smoke
