DescriptionThe more we integrate neuroscience discoveries to clinical practice, the better we will get at personalizing therapies to clients’ individual issues and guiding them through the changes in brain activity that best stimulate their progress. Whether clients are locked in recurrent defensive behaviors, trying to stabilize a clear sense of self, or making gradual progress toward new resilient behavior, giving them particular techniques for rewiring the brain can lead to their thriving and flourishing outside of the consulting session. This session will teach you how to:
Teach clients self-directed neuroplasticity skills to help them reverse the effects of stress and trauma on brain functioning and their ability to cope.
Cultivate happy emotions to alter brain functioning away from restricted survival reactions and toward wider views and adaptability.
Use mindfulness and self-compassion activities to restore the prefrontal cortex’s capacity for reaction flexibility and resilience.
Increase empathy capacity and relational intelligence abilities to establish healthy, resonant connections.
