DescriptionPlay therapy is capable of far more than we previously imagined.
This course offers an interesting and one-of-a-kind chance to investigate the fundamental components of play therapy from a neurobiological standpoint. Synergetic Play Therapy is the first research-based play therapy methodology to integrate neuroscience, attachment/attunement, therapist authenticity, physics, emotional congruence, nervous system modulation, and mindfulness. You will discover cuttingedge research on interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, nervous system control, and brain development through didactic and experiential lessons, while the research is turned into practical ways of working with children and parents.
You will learn what it means to attach to oneself as the cornerstone for all healing, the importance of congruent emotional expression in the playroom, how to identify types of dysregulation in the playroom, how to model regulating activities to the client, how to talk to and involve parents, and how to re-pattern a child’s nervous system through the play therapy process. Aggressive play will be discussed in terms of nervous system control, attunement, and awareness. Finally, you’ll learn how to keep track of a client’s modifications in a simple yet thorough manner.
