It’s a question I get asked a lot:
“Lisa, how did you do it? How did you go from being an unknown to one of the most influential entrepreneurs in the online community seemingly overnight? How did you build a $2.2 million-plus business in less than 3 years…and then go on to break $4 million just a year after that?”
And I really wish I had a simple answer to this question. But I don’t. Because there were MANY factors that led to my success.
First of all, if making money from your “thing” seems complicated, I know where you’re coming from. You see, when I first started my business I didn’t have a clue what I should be doing. In fact, I started my business like many of you may have – my job ended and rather than find another one, I decided to try my hand at being an entrepreneur.
But I didn’t know the first thing about starting a business. I didn’t know what I should sell, how I should sell it or who I should sell it to. No one had heard of me (even though I knew how to close 70% of a room, something MANY entrepreneurs would love to learn). I had no products or programs. In fact I was CONVINCED the only way I could work with people was one-on-one, which severely limited not only how much I could earn but how big my business could grow and how many people I could actually help with my gift.

But I was lucky. I found the right people early on and they kept me from spinning my wheels. I was able to quickly get myself on the right path to building a hugely successful business.
